Why The Texas Lake
Country? Texas enjoys lakes throughout
the state but no other 30 county region has the concentration
of lakes as the North East Texas counties of NETTC.
This region is home to the Texas Freshwater Fisheries
Center in Athens. Two of the largest lakes, Toledo Bend
and Sam Rayburn Reservoir are in the Texas Lake Country.
