Located in the pine and hardwood forests of Northeast Texas, Pittsburg is a great place to live, work, or visit. If you love the outdoors, Pittsburg is close to two state parks and five large lakes that offer an abundance of water sports. If you prefer historic buildings, homes, antiques or museums, Pittsburg has all this an more. With the lovely Prayer Tower that chimes the hour and plays beautiful melodies that waft through the downtown area, shopping for antiques, clothing, gifts, crafts, is a pleasant experience. We have great restaurants, a 50s style soda fountain, charming bed and breakfasts and don't miss our famous peaches, blueberries, strawberries and other fresh produce in the spring.

Pittsburg is the county seat of Camp County and is close to both Interstate 30 and 20. It is the home of the Ezekiel Airship, a flying machine that flew before the Wright Brothers flight, two awarding winning museums, and "Bo" Pilgrim.
